<p><strong>The Big Cyprus</strong></p>
<p>The experience of watching a flock of ducks reacting to the sound of a duck call in the hands of an expert caller and then to see the ducks beginning to work their way down toward the well-placed duck decoys sitting in the flooded fields will be remembered for many years. The Big Cyprus blind is situated in the shadows of flooded cypress trees and surrounded by buck brush and timber in the flooded waters. We like to bring the ducks in close so our hunters can make clean kills and have a chance for a full limit.</p>
<p>The Big Cyprus blind is located on private land in West Tennessee and is about a three-hour drive from Nashville and less than a two-hour drive from Memphis. Unless otherwise arranged, we will meet around 5:30 AM CST at the agreed location. Once you set up in the blind, you will be ready for the hunt to begin at the guide’s direction. Hunting times begin at official daylight time for that day, and the daily hunt is over for the blind at 12:00 Noon CST. If you are lucky, you may spot one or more of the local or wintering bald eagles at Reelfoot Lake.</p>
<p>A flat fee per day is charged for the blind with up to eight people (hunters, family, or good friends) per site. These are family friendly sites with a cook on site to provide a hot breakfast and lunch is also provided on site. The blind is expertly camouflaged, well heated and dry. The 30-foot by 10-foot space gives everyone plenty of room to hunt from the front or relax in the rear of the blind. We provide the duck decoys and set them out upon arrival in front of the blinds to attract the ducks.</p>
<p>If your goal is a quality hunt in scenic West Tennessee, hiring John Garrett is your most important step towards an experience that will prove to be an extraordinary and fun adventure. It is easy as we provide an experienced local guide with fantastic duck calling skills, a cook, and all the duck decoys needed for the blind. You might even get lucky and see one or more of the majestic American bald eagles that winter every year in the Reelfoot Lake area or reside there permanently.</p>
<p>You must provide a current valid Tennessee hunting license and a current and valid Tennessee waterfowl license with a valid Federal duck stamp, legal shotguns, and shotgun shells with federally approved non-toxic shot for duck hunting, and a passion for a legendary hunt.</p>
